Jerry and his wife, Pat, recently retired as pastor of First Baptist Church, Jennings, LA. Both Jerry and Pat are Louisiana natives, and have chosen to retire on Toledo Bend Lake. They live near the dam in Toledo Village (they finally got to Texas!!!). In Jerry’s resume he outlines his objective for retirement: woodworking, fishing, grandchildren and serving the Lord as an interim pastor or Director of Missions.
Jerry was born September 26, 1948, in Sabine Parrish. He attended Florien High School and then Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA. It was there that he and Pat met and married on December 20, 1970. They have 3 children and 6 grandchildren. After college, Jerry served in the US Army as an officer, and helicopter pilot, with a tour in Vietnam. Since his service to our country, Jerry has been a teacher for special needs children, Minister of Education, pastor of two churches, involved with mission trips to Korea (twice), Honduras and North Dakota. Jerry has a Master of Religious Education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. 1977
